Dare To Follow Your Heart

Dare to follow your heart

It’s so easy when we are young to act on impulse and follow our hearts. Even though the reward and adventure feel massive too our little selves, looking back, we know, the stakes on following our hearts when we are young are not high at all.

But it gets tricky the older we get. With age, the stakes get higher and so does the risk and reward of following one’s heart.

When you are in it, it’s a beautiful storm, what to do, what to win and what to lose. Risk assessment and possible bliss assessment are at a constant tug of war.

So, what do we do.

I can only speak for myself. From a very young age, death sat our table. I became aware of life’s fleeting existence. I lost a young cousin and shortly thereafter my grandfather. So, I was aware that death doesn’t have favorites.

Don’t get me wrong, I was deeply saddened by both losses, but I always considered myself lucky to have learned this lesson at a very young age. Because I have lived my life, and made hard and bold decisions based on the knowledge that life is not guaranteed. That you never know how long you have.

So, dare to follow your heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell that person you like them, marry the one you love, leave where you are unhappy. Start that business even if it pays more in joy and fulfillment than money at first. Go on that trip, move to that country. Eat the damn cake! DARE TO FOLLOW YOUR HEART and you will live a meaningful life, full of surprises, many blessings and abundant in all the ways that matter.

Live, love, laugh, let go and light up the world in your own unique way.

With love, always
